Merry Christmas!

I’ve been thinking the last few days about all the things I’d like to share with you about our family Christmas traditions. Of course, that would involve lots of FOOD and, more importantly, wonderful moments spent with the ones we love. I also thought about posting a few pictures of Christmases past. Instead, I’d like […]

Crock-Pot Wednesday #15

This was a new one for me, but it was really good and easy. Best of all, it includes potatoes with the meat. All you need to go along with it is a green vegetable and maybe some corn-on-the-cob. Hope you enjoy! (Note: If you are short on time in the mornings, you can go […]

Christmas Tour of Homes

I can’t tell you how excited I am that today is December 17th. Because that means it’s officially BooMama’s Christmas Tour of Homes. I love me some BooMama, and I love to decorate my home for Christmas. So, I guess it goes without saying that this is a banner day. I also can hardly wait […]

Crock-Pot Wednesday #14

Let me first begin by saying I’ve never tried this one before. And even after soaking the beans overnight, slicing the smoked sausage, and combining all of the ingredients in the crock-pot at 7:00 a.m. today, I have yet to taste this dish. It’s A "Souper" Day!

I’m so glad BooMama came up with this lovely idea. Because I really do love me some soup on a cold winter’s night. So here goes one of my personal favorites. (FYI: I recently shared a recipe for “Crock-Pot Potato Soup,” but this is not the same recipe. This one is cooked on the stove […]

S’mores And More

As promised, I’ve finally uploaded the photos from last weekend. We had a wonderful time visiting Gran and Grandad at their lake house. The kids especially enjoyed roasting marshmallows over a “bonfire.” If we’d sung a few rounds of “Kumbaya,” I would have thought for sure we were at summer camp!

Answered Prayers

Has it really almost been a week since I last posted? This time of year is always a little too fast-paced for me. I’d sometimes like to just push “pause” and tell everyone to take a deep breath and slow down for one minute. Everywhere I turn, folks are rushing and frantically trying to “get […]
